This CD provides a number of ways of searching for a particular
paper or finding text in any paper.
- The navigation bar on the lefthand side has a search feature. This
is a basic listing of the entire collection of papers by title or author.
- Finding text within a PDF. Any PDF that is open within the browser
can be searched for particular words. Use the 'find' icon on the
acrobat reader toolbar. This will only find text in the current
PDF.
- Global searching. This method allows you to search for phrases,
text, words across the entire collection of PDFs. To do so you
must open Acrobat Reader as a stand-alone application (not from within
your browser). Open your CD using your file manager and proceed
to open 'Search.pdf'. Once 'Search.pdf' is open in Acrobat Reader
you can make use of the sophisticated search tools. To find out
more about the search tools open Acrobat Reader and access Help >
Acrobat Help. Using the sidebar in Acrobat navigate to the section
on 'Searching'.
